This article applies to any customer who has recently been migrated from an on-premise DocStar/Eclipse environment to https://cloud.docstar.com (Epicor ECM Cloud). 


These steps ensure your DocStar Client Services (used for scanning, batch import, print import, and email import) are configured correctly to work with the new cloud environment.


New Login URL

Your updated access URL for Epicor ECM (formerly DocStar) is:


https://cloud.docstar.com


If you previously accessed your system through another domain, please update any bookmarks, shortcuts, or saved links accordingly.


Client Service Configuration Update

If you use the DocStar Client Service for Scanning, Batch Importing, Print Import, or Email Import, you will need to verify or update your client configuration.

If you already have the newest version of the Client Service installed, skip to Step 6.


Steps to Install or Confirm the Client Service

  1. Log into Epicor ECM using the new URL:
    https://cloud.docstar.com

  2. Select the Capture tab within the application.

  3. Install or Update Client Services

    • If prompted automatically → Click Install Client Services

    • If no prompt appears, look for:

      • “No Epicor ECM clients available”

      • Then select Install/Update Client Services

  4. Run the Installation
    • Open your Downloads folder

    • Right-click Client Service Setup.exeRun as Administrator

    • Accept the license agreement and complete the installation

    • Restart your PC after installation finishes

  5. Launch and Sign In

    • Find the DocStar Client Service icon in your system tray

    • Sign in with your ECM credentials


Step 6 — Verify Service Configuration URLs

Open the Client Service settings and confirm:

If the URLs do not match, update and press Save.


Step 7 — Confirm Functionality

Test the functions you rely on:

  • Scanning

  • Batch imports

  • Print imports

  • Email imports

If everything processes normally, configuration is complete.
